Indian sweet – Laddu with Vark~~

A box of Indian sweets my friend kindly gave to me. (^-^)

Laddu or Laddoo is a ball-shaped dessert popular in South Asian countries.

 My friend specifically advised that I don’t try picking off the Vark, which is the thin layer of silver foil covering the sweet.

It was the first time I’ve ever come across Vark, therefore, I did some research and found it is made of pure silver and is edible since the elemental silver used is in such minute amount.

The purpose of Vark is to decorate and make the desserts look wonderfully beautiful~~

Gorgeously decorated with vark, and bright colours (^-^)

Mmmmm~~ and they taste deliciously gorgeous too!! =D

In my humble opinion, I think Japan makes some of the most awesome hard candies!!!!! XD

Comes in mini packs, each containing two candies~~ And as expected they taste absolutely AWESOME!!!!! XD

Strawberry flavoured chocolate with tiny crunchy pieces which remind me of rice bubbles~~

You can see the little lumps which are the crunchy bits (^-^)

GLICO ALMOND CHOCOLATE

My Japanese colleague says this is the best chocolate she has ever tasted, and we live in New Zealand! So of course I had to include this in my order to find out just how good it really is~~

The almond in the centre has a layer of caramalised sugar coating over it~~

It definitely does not disappoint!! It really is one of the best tasting chocolate I’ve had, and I’ve had chocolates from places such as Austria, Belgium, France, Italy, and Switzerland!! :O

To be honest, I didn’t think Japan would be the country to produce great tasting chocolate, and when my colleague told me about this ‘best tasting chocolate from Japan’, I though the chance of it being true was as much as the chance of me spotting an Unicorn on the road, but Glico certainly proved me wrong!!

I’m in heaven~~

April is the month of Chocolate!! XD

Some Lindt Chocolates, because they are so yummy~~

Chilli flavoured dark chocolate: I’ve been wanting to try this flavour

Some doggie treats and ‘chocolate’ for Chip. This special ‘chocolate’ for dogs is made of Carob and not actual chocolate. (Actual chocolate is toxic to dogs, and should never be given to them.)

I tried one of the doggie chocolate drops, while Chip stared at me with a ‘why you eat my chocolate’ expression, and it tasted quite nice!! No wonder Pippa and Chip like them so much!!

Hehe~~ I had so many Easter eggs this long weekend already, and here are some more waiting for me!! Woohoo!!!!! XD

I fixed my computer!! XD

As you may have noticed, I haven’t been blogging for quite some time now.

The main reason is my computer was malfunctioning.

It was able to turn on, but wouldn’t boot.

Being the adventurous person I am *Joke*, I decided I would open up the computer myself, without any prior knowledge of what is inside of a computer, and try to diagnose and fix the problem DIY style.

Imagine my surprise when I actually fixed it!!!!! XD

After doing some research and self-teachings, and taking components apart, the issue was identified and rectified. YAY!! It turned out the RAM card was at fault.

Now I can get back to my food blogging!! (^-^)
