Estee Lauder Haul (Pure Colour Eye shadows) Photos and Review

It’s been awhile since I’ve done a non food related product review, which provided the perfect excuse for me to splashed out BIG bucks on some Estee Lauder products!! 😀

Initally, I bought 2 sets of Estee Lauder Pure Colour Eyeshadow Duo compact and Pure Colour eyeliners, but was so impressed with the Pure Colour Eyeshadows, after trying them on, that I decided to buy another set of eyeshadows and liner.

The packaging is well presented, and the actual eyeshadows are enclosed by a nicely designed, sleek, and luxurious looking golden case with a clear base.

The case opens up to the duo coloured eyeshadows, including an applicator/brush and a mirror embedded into the lid.

These are the first 2 Estee Lauder Pure Colour Eyeshadow Duo compacts I got

I like the smooth application and the lovely variety of colours to choose from~~

As mentioned previously, I was so taken with the 2 sets of shadows that I decided to purchase 1 more duo compact! 🙂

Overall: I highly recommend them.

  • The small case, mirror and applicator make the duo eyeshadow compacts easy to carry when travelling.
  • The texture is very smooth and soft.
  • The range of colours available are beautiful, and if I had a bigger budget, I would have gotten them all! 😀

The Angry Birds gummies were packed with yummy fruity flavours, and had a wonderful “chewiness” to them.

Cost: 4/5

The cost was on the pricey side for a pack of gummies.

Availability: 4.5/5

I haven’t seen them selling at the Paper Plus I’ve been to, so they are probably only available in certain Paper Plus branches and confectionery stores.

Overall Mark: 4.3/5

It was very yummy, and my friend is very kind for getting it for me, however as far as Whittaker’s white chocolate goes I still prefer White Raspberry~~

Nevertheless, it was still a great treat!!

Georgie Pie!! :D

YAY!!!!!

I got to try the long awaited Mince & Cheese Georgie Pie today!! 😀

They are available at selected McDonalds.

I have had quite a few requests from readers, friends, and family to review the pie~~

And so here it is!!

GP

TADA!!!!! 😀

I got mine from McDonalds at Westfield St Luke’s food court.

GP1

The pie is priced at $4.50/pie

GP2

Mmmmm~~~ Cheesy goodness~~

GP3

Looks and tastes like the original Georgie Pie, except maybe the crust is a bit more flaky and greasy exclaim

It still has the same granular-tasting mince and alot of sauce for filling~~~

To be honest, if it was up to me, I would call it the Gravy Pie! 😛

It is probably a pie that I would only recommend to those who misses the original Georgie Pie franchise~~

I hope you found my review useful! 🙂

*RANT* I don’t quite understand..

Non-edible products which are scented to smell like food (especially desserts).

The fact is I can’t eat them! mad

Commercial products like Yoghurt Face Cream.. It smells like Yoghurt, looks like Yoghurt, is apparently made of Yoghurt, but it cannot be eaten…

Or Fruity Body Butter, which smells so delicious, but it can’t be eaten…..

Then there was the time when I was still living in Taiwan and I came across some colouring pens which smelt like chocolate.. CHOCOLATES!!

rant

WHY?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! question

I remember some of my classmates were using their red or pink colouring pens to draw on their nails or (worse) on their lips.

Even back then, I was quite certain these pens and their ink weren’t designed to be edible.

Therefore, wasn’t it in a way dangerous to have these chocolate-smelling non-edible pens for children?

Is it a marketing technique???????

I notice a big chunk of the female population (myself included) really enjoy desserts, and sweet things in general. (Not to say the male population doesn’t.)

Also, it seems like most food-smelling non edible products are aimed at female consumers. Since, the Face Cream and Body Butter all have photographed female faces or body parts plastered over their containers.

And as for the colouring pens..

Good thing that times have really changed, and everyone is on more equal terms now, but the fact is in Taiwan, back when I was little, the mothers would have been more likely the parent to buy stationeries for their children; hence I believe it may be plausible to suggest the pens were designed to attract both the children’s and mothers’ attention.

So maybe the marketing teams of these businesses think they can sell more products by adding in the dessert-smelling element?? Actually, that’s a very silly question, of course they think they can sell more products by adding in the food smell!! That’s why it’s there!!!

But what made them assume that??

I can only theorize.. without knowing the real answer.

ANYWAY, enough ranting.

It would be very interesting, at least for me, to understand the reason behind the design of these commercial products.
