Hello Fresh

My lovely friend had sent me a box of Hello Fresh goodies.


It was perfect for the lockdown from COVID-19.

I had never tried delivered ready-to-make food boxes before, so it was very interesting to see what was inside.


The recipes were right on the top when the box opened.


Certainly a very good selection of recipes.


Each meal was packed in an individual colour coded bag.


Fridge items were packed separately in an organic reusable zip-lock bag with ice packs.


Here is a peek of what was in the cool bag.


 A colour coding system is used to match the ingredient bags to the recipes.

I have to say I was very impressed with the meal selections, and they turned out to be very easy to prepare.

Below are some of the dishes I made using Hello Fresh recipes and ingredients.


Caribbean Pork & Coconut Rice (with caramelised pineapple salsa)


American Chicken with Chipotle Mayo sauce (free range, corn fed chicken)


Sri Lankan Chicken and Vegetable Curry (with toasted lime coconut)

Overall, I am very happy with what Hello Fresh had delivered, and I am very thankful to my good friend for sending it to me.

Century egg with Tofu and Pork floss salad recipe

Century egg with tofu and pork floss salad is a very traditional Taiwanese appetizer.
It is the perfect dish to serve on a hot summer day (^-^)
Serves 4
Two large pieces of soft/silken tofu, chopped into small cubes
century egg, chopped into small pieces*
1 handful of pork floss**
1 handful of katsuobushi (optional)
1/2 cup of chopped spring onion
1 tsp of Sesame oil
2 tbs of Oyster sauce
1 tbs of Sweet soy sauce
  1. Place the tofu cubes on a plate, then lay the century egg pieces on top.
  2. Sprinkle a handful of pork floss and Katsuobushi flakes all over.
  3. Drizzle the sesame oil, oyster sauce and sweet soy sauce evenly across the dish.
  4. Sprinkle on the chopped spring onion.
  5. Mix it all up before serving.

I highly recommend this recipe!! Not only is it very easy to make, it is also very tasty!!! Please do give it a try (^-^)
